Presenting a workshop called "Adapting Kete Rhythms on Drumset" at the Percussive Arts Society's Massachusetts Chapter annual Day of Percussion. Workshop, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, will feature Emmanuel Attah Poku on a performance of our original arrangement of "Kete for Drumset and Kwadum."
Ben Paulding is an American percussionist currently based in Kumasi, Ghana. Specializing in drumset and traditional Ghanaian percussion, Ben has spent the past two years living in West Africa, extensively performing and studying Ashanti royal drum music. With over 200 performances in Africa, Ben currently plays with the Centre for National Culture, the Ashanti King’s Fontomfrom ensemble, and the renowned Nsuase Kete group.
